Avalon Transitional

The overall goal of the project was to create a space that was open, welcoming and truly livable, while still managing to take the users' breath away with a uniquely beautiful design. The designer, kept the traditional 50's style of the home and added modern elements such as Shark Skin glass tiles, Supreme Black textured paint on a cold-rolled steel custom hood, and a slate countertop mimicking a tide rolling in on a charcoal canvas. The cream Brookhaven by Wood-Mode Custom Cabinetry finish warmed up the otherwise cool color palette. Streamlined Sub-Zero and Thermador appliances and retro-style, chrome hardware mixed with natural stone created the modern-traditional style the clients wished to achieve.

So Fresh & Clean Bathroom

The idea behind this soft contemporary bathroom was to create a tranquil space for its owners to retreat to after a long day.  The clean lines and sleek hardware keep the space looking contemporary while the neutral tones and horizontal tiles add a calming, spa-like affect.  Functional storage was a key component of the bathroom.  We added pull-outs below the sink, jewelry/make-up dividers in the vanity drawer and a pullout grooming organizer.

Grey is the New Black

In Beyoncé’s childhood home we tried to create a look that combined a traditional foundation with modern touches.  The soft gray paint with a charcoal glaze gave the traditional, inset cabinets an updated look, while the white quartzite countertops, stainless appliances, and modern light fixtures created timeless appeal.  To keep the kitchen rooted in tradition, we added red-studded stools, ethnic artwork, and a traditional tile inlay.  The family wanted an island large enough to prepare meals on and gather around when entertaining.  The butler's pantry and wine fridge between the kitchen and dining room added to the ease of entertaining.

Crisp Linen Kitchen

The goal for this kitchen was to create a space that was purely functional and had a clean, transitional look.  We achieved the functionality by making sure everything had a place, including the kids' cups and bowls - we placed these in an organized, lower drawer so the kids could get their own snacks!  We also added cutlery dividers, a knife block in the shallow drawer below the cooktop, a tray divider next to the oven, an appliance garage and pullout drawers in the pantry.  Everything has a place and everything in its place!  We used white subway tiles, shaker doors, and stainless appliances to keep the kitchen looking clean and crisp!  The banquette we created added extra storage while offering enough space for the whole family.  The eat-in space gave mom the ability to watch her kids do their homework while cooking dinner.

Whimsical Persian Kitchen

The wonderfully unique homeowner wanted to create a space that reflected her style; whimsical, Persian and a bit eclectic.  She also wanted to be certain she had storage for all of her cake baking accessories.  We achieved her desired look by combining the old and the new, the simple with the detailed.  We selected a creamy white finish on a traditional door style with modern brushed nickel hardware, stainless steel appliances, honeycomb quartzite backsplash, a neutral porcelain tile and of course, the bird cage chandeliers!

Since the kitchen was small in comparison to the rest of the house, we borrow space from the desk area and the laundry room to add storage.  The tall pantry cabinets in the laundry room housed ALL of her baking items... except the few she tucked under her desk!  This left room for the everyday dishes and cookware in the kitchen.

One of the best things about this kitchen is there is always fresh fruit in the refrigerator, picked from the backyard!!!

Eclectic Transitional Baths & Kitchen

The kitchen and baths in this home were a mix of styles, materials, and textures. The client wanted to incorporate many parts of his life into the space. We did this by including some masks he bought while traveling, along with a touch of Asian influence in the guest bathroom, and retro vibe in the master bath.

We used Brookhaven Cabinetry with a transitional, recessed door panel and a creamy white with a charcoal glaze to add depth.  We wanted to keep the cabinetry simple allowing the eclectic mix of accessories could shine.
